Algorithms for understanding immune complexity.

I study computational immunology and biological data at ComputImm Laboratory, Shahid Beheshti University, supervised by Prof. Changiz Eslahchi. As an M.Sc. student in Algorithms and Computation Theory, I connect algorithmic research with reproducible scientific software.

Mab231 mouse IgG2a antibody, PDB structure 1IGT
About this structure
PDB · 1IGT

The Mab231 antibody

This is Mab231, an intact mouse IgG2a antibody developed to recognize antigens associated with canine lymphoma. Its two Fab arms bind antigens, while the Fc stem interacts with other components of the immune system. Determined by X-ray crystallography at 2.8 Å resolution, the structure reveals asymmetric arms joined through a flexible hinge.

Research directions

Two problems in computational biology, approached through algorithms and probabilistic modeling.

B-cell receptor lineages

Reconstructing evolutionary relationships among B cells helps explain how adaptive immune responses mature. I study algorithmic approaches for inferring cellular ancestry from B-cell receptor (BCR) sequencing data.

Modeling responses to drug combinations

Combination responses depend on paired drug doses and cellular context. I work on forward and inverse probabilistic models linking gene-expression profiles, dose pairs, and cellular inhibition.

Background

Before focusing on computational biology at Shahid Beheshti University, I earned my B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Control) at Amirkabir University of Technology, where my thesis explored transformer models for Persian poetry generation.
